Christian World Service (CWS)

Christian World Service (CWS) is the development, justice and aid agency of the New Zealand Churches, dedicated to ending poverty and injustice worldwide. CWS supports communities in their efforts to improve lives and livelihoods, provides humanitarian relief in times of disaster, and campaigns against the causes of global poverty. Regardless of race or religion, CWS responds to people's needs and is registered with the New Zealand Charities Commission. As a member of ACT Alliance, CWS collaborates with 155 churches and church-related organizations to provide humanitarian assistance and development. Since 1945, CWS has worked with local experts to help people improve their livelihoods and advocate for their human rights, ensuring access to food, water, dignity, and justice.
