Located in the Central Valley Region of Gisborne District, the 17-hectare estate primarily grows Chardonnay grapes, with smaller plantings of Gewurztraminer, Viognier, and Pinot Gris. The family also has an interest in a nearby 15-hectare vineyard, from which they source fruit for their Merlot. The estate is open for wine tastings, lunches, desserts, and coffees from Wednesday to Sunday, and is now taking bookings for private functions. The name "Bushmere" was chosen from old maps of the district, and the logo represents the three vital elements for grape growing - earth, water, and sun.
